Just Some Pages

Hey bloggers,

Just as a little update, here are some pages I am working on for commission. It'll be a small 6 page excerpt from a larger story. I'm inking it with a bit more 'grit' and 'mess' than I usually ink with. It's pretty fun to break out of the really clean stuff I'm typically used to.

The page 1 of the story.

Page 2.

There will be more to come, as I said, it's a part of a larger story, 6 pages to be precise, so there will be plenty more to see. Thanks guys!

Just A Few Sketches

Hello y'all,

So again, I get all caught up in life and totally forget that I have a blog and why I created it. To post ART! So That's what I'm gonna do. I have some stuff that I am currently working on, but nothing is finalized yet, so I'm not sure if I can publicly post it, so I'll post some of the sketches I did for said project.

I'm sort of messing around with a different inking style.
We'll see how it goes.

There is obviously a theme between these drawings, but I'm just going to let you figure that one out!
Anyway, more to come when I can get to it! Happy trails!

Color Preview!

Hey everyone,

I have been working on some digital coloring this weekend. Just a little break from some pages.

Here is the first pass at the colors for the first issue of "The Golem of South Florida"

Hope you all enjoy!

Yay Color!

So there you have it, some color in my life. Who would've thought, even though ironically, if you know me, you know I am all about obnoxious colors.  Anyway, lots of work ahead of me, but I hope you all like it. Take it easy!

A Fun New Project!

Wow, It's been forever since I have posted last. Sorry about that.

Anyway, now that all the apologies are over, I have a few fun projects I am currently working on!

Specifically an anthology for one of my fellow SCADies, and it is for her senior project. I wrote a small little script for it and she decided that I could be featured among 19 other super great comic artists!

As a small aside about me, I love the military. I love drawing military things. So I really REALLY wanted to do a story that had to do with the military. So I did. I have just finished up the thumbnails and will move on to the final pages soon enough, but I thought as a courtesy I would post the thumbs for everyone to see!

You're welcome.

Anyway, here are the thumbs for my short story, titled "Behind the Wheel"

The cover and pages 1-3, as you can tell,
I really like doing tight thumbnails.

Pages 4-7.

I really like tight thumbnails, when I do thumbs and move to a larger tight rough I tend to lose a little bit of energy from my figures, so I just tighten my thumbs up to the point where they can almost be considered miniature finished penciled pages, then blow them up and finish them off with ink or a clean pencil finish.

Well that's all for now, stay tuned for more stuff to be posted soon! Take it easy everyone.

I Promise I Have Been Doing Stuff!!!

I promise I really have!

So as an update, I am almost finished with my last quarter of college, so naturally, it has been pretty busy as well as stressful. I have however been able to work on Golem, and I have actually finished the art for all 22 pages!! I don't have it all scanned yet, but here are pages 20 and 21 in pencil, and 20 inked!
The inked page

A fun look at the pencils that got it there!

and here are the pencils for page 21.

The inks are actually finished for pages 21 and 22, but I haven't been able to scan those yet, so hopefully I can get those scanned and posted this week for your enjoyment! Hope you liked the art I shall post again in the near future!
