Pretty Airplanes!

Hey everyone,

So to continue with the Periscope commissions theme I have going for me, here are three planes I did for a woman who was a medical technician. She was qualified on these three planes, and wanted to have some custom art to pass onto her sons as heirlooms!

It was great to work on such a personal project!

Each of these drawings are 9"x12" with greyscale and a continuous colored background. Once lined up all together, these planes look really striking, and I know they went to a happy home!

Cap for Tazi

Here is a commission I did that I got through Periscope.

It was for a little girl who had stage 4 cancer, and she never gave up and kept fighting, and eventually went into remission and currently has a clean bill of health.

The kicker is that this particular girl loves Captain America. And her inspiration to keep fighting through cancer was that 'Cap wouldn't give up, so neither will I.'

This touched my heart so much, I am honored that I got to do this piece for this young girl who fought like a tiger to beat cancer.

She is also a huge fan of Chris Evan's Cap, so it was requested I do the Age of Ultron costume, which I was happy to do, because lets face it, it' awesome!

Thanks everyone, and if anyone if interested in a commission like this feel free to contact me for pricing!

Beauty And the Beast

So I have been sitting on this drawing for quite some time now, mostly because my scanner is a bit of a hassle from time to time, and I hadn't actually committed to sitting and scanning.

BUT if you follow my instagram (@ncdyerart) or my Periscope (@ColinDyer71) you would be pretty familiar with this drawing. My second Periquest, Belle and Beast!

Feel free to get a hold of me to get a commission like this for yourself. And in the meantime, if you aren't on Periscope, come check it out, and you can watch me draw things like this live!

Take it easy blogdience.

IMPERATOR FURIOSA

Here is another drawing I did while on Periscope.

I saw the movie Mad Max: Fury Road and man, how cool was Furiosa?! She is definitely one of my favorite characters I have seen in an action film. I have seen so much fan art of her since that movie came out, and I thought I would throw my hat into that ring as well, because she deserves a drawing!

That's it for now. Stay tuned for more work!

Oh My Stars and Stripes!

Hey everyone.

Still playing a bit of catch up on older art, here is a Captain America piece I did over the 4th of July weekend.  I actually started this one and showed some of the process on Periscope. It really is a pretty awesome social media platform.

I really love drawing Cap. Like a lot.

Thanks everyone! Feel free to reach out to me if you would like a drawing like this as well! I love doing commissions.

LET IT GO!!!

I'm back with a new look!

So there is this social network called 'Periscope.'

it's really cool. Anyway, its a live streaming app and I use it to do live drawings and things like that.
One night I quizzed those watching, and if they got the answer right, then they could request the drawing for the night.

The request was the cast of Frozen. Which I have never drawn, but it was seriously so much fun.

I had a ton of fun drawing this, and the best part is, I got into contact with the individual who made the request, and I packed it up and shipped her the original!

If you'd like a print however, I can make that happen as well!

Big Ol Robot.

Welcome back.

After forever, am I right?

I have tons of things to show, but I will pace myself.

I did a really quick digital painting for my brother. He's a huge Pacific Rim fan, and was pretty sick last week, so I thought I'd make something fun for him.

Not only is the aspect of giant robots fighting monsters just amazing, but the name "Gypsy Danger" is just so stinking cool.

So I also have an Instagram now, check it out and follow if you'd like, my handle is 'NCDYERART' come check it out!

The Pipers Piping

Hey-O,

So this is a pretty late post. We made some art for our Christmas party at work, so kind of like a post-Christmas-post. Anyway, each designer was given one of the items for the twelve days of Christmas.

Mine was '11 Pipers Piping'

So naturally, I thought bagpipes. Because bagpipes.

So that's it. Rendering tartans with greyscale is pretty cool.

It's always fun to bust out the greyscale markers. And even more fun when it is a bunch of Scotsmen.

Also fun fact, the national animal of Scotland is the Unicorn. You're welcome for that little nugget.
