BEARS BEARS BEARS!!!

BLOGDIENCE,

Hey there y'all. So some of you who know me know that I have this goofy comic strip I work on from time to time just as something for fun and amusement. Well, I haven't done them for a while, but I am proud to say I made two strips the other day, and am happy to re-introduce my strip to the world!

For those of you who don't know, the strip is called "Life's a Bear" and it takes place in a zoo. It's about an eccentric and slightly moronic polar bear who is put in an exhibit with a sarcastic and easily annoyed panda bear. Essentially it's their interactions as they are stuck with each other in this bizarre exhibit.

So here it is : "Life's a Bear"

Alright, well I hope you liked them, I'd be more than happy to hear your thoughts on them and comments on how funny or stupid you think they are, critique always helps!

Gracias por los pantalones!

Seven Deadly Sins...AGAIN?!

Hiya internets,

If you recall a while back, the Christian Student Fellowship at SCAD did a quarter long study on the seven deadly sins. Well afterward, we were encouraged to make artwork under that theme for an art show at the end of the quarter. I did wrath, mostly cause I thought my style would work well with that one.

Well fast forward a quarter and I am approached by the College Minister at CSF and asked if I would be willing to do artwork for a seven deadly sins study that his buddy in Macon, GA is doing for the fall. I accepted, because frankly it was a really fun opportunity, as well as something for me to do over the summer.

Well I am working on thumbnails right now and am waiting to hear back from my client before working on the final product, but I figured why not just go ahead and post them here to see what feedback I can get on them at thumbnail stage!

Without further adieu, here they are: Pride, Envy and Lust.

Here are a few points about what I think of these:
-Pride is probably my favorite thus far
-Im not sure how I feel about envy,  I feel like it's missing something.
-I like lust, I thought it was sensual enough, but not overly sexual.

Take a look at these contemplate them, let them bounce around your brain a bit, then get back to me on what you think on them, feedback would be much appreciated!
Thank you my blogdience,

Sir Dyer the Polar

I'M BACK WITH A VENGEANCE!!!

Actually, there is not much vengeance happening, it is actually more on the lines that I am sorry I haven't been able to post in like a billion years. It's been a hectic summer thus far, one where I haven't really had a space to do much work, I have been moving around a lot, like a cheetah on meth.

I do have a few things that I can show, mostly little sketches and whatnot, nothing major. Here are a couple figure drawings I did about a week ago, just sat down and sketched figures from a book for a good solid 5 hours, it felt good. But of all of them, there were only really two that I liked, so those are the ones I'm going to show you!

This one was fun,
I was purposefully trying to focus on an angular style,
just sort of wanted to mess around,
and there is nothing you can do about it..meh..

I don't draw a lot of figures from a rear view,
so I thought it was about time to change that.
Plus, I just really liked this pose,
I felt like it had a good amount of energy in it.

Alrighty then, thats all Im going to show now, you have a wonderful day internet. Buh-Bye.
